You will be assigned front-end projects related to the shopping, sale and processing of travel reservations. This will involve developing first class websites and services. In this role the you will develop numerous web based applications in HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript on JSP layer for travel related websites.
Job Responsibilities
  • Member of development team and working on travel related systems and processes
  • Design and build and support our core web systems, sites, and services
  • Be hands-on, yet think out of the box and with a business and growth hat on
  • Develop complex Web based applications on Java & JSP platform with MySQL backend

Qualifications

Country Brand Manager, Canada

Job Summary As the Country Brand Manager, reporting to the Executive Vice President, you will develop overall country marketing strategy for the lead brand Vayama.ca as well as BudgetAir.ca. Additionally, you will be responsible for supplier relations within the Canadian marketplace. You will direct all brand marketing, product marketing activities, all product launches, and all aspects of user and traffic acquisition and retention programs across multiple channels, online and offline to deliver on the revenue and booking objectives for the market. Additionally, as a key member of the Travix Americas team you will actively help develop overall strategy, best practices and metrics for success for brands in Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with product management and brand teams, drive overall strategy and delivery of product marketing across various verticals and price points.
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, product launch and go-to-market strategies and plans for both user and product segments, for Air, Hotels, Cars, Insurance, and Packages.
  • Define and execute user and traffic acquisition and retention initiatives (annual, quarterly/seasonal and specific programs) utilizing best industry practices, customer insights, competitive context, and deep analytical rigor.
  • Directly manage any internal and external agencies, vendors, and suppliers, and creative's, from concept through market execution, and ROI analysis.
  • Proactively seek out external partnerships and skillfully negotiate marketing and promotional opportunities to further drive traffic to and enhance the Vayama experience for our users and suppliers.
  • Maintain and enhance supplier relations within the Canadian marketplace, while supporting the global supplier relations strategy.
  • Assess and report on program effectiveness through quantitative and qualitative data, profitability and margin analysis.
  • Become active user of product and provide ongoing input to product management team to inform product roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Relations and Revenue Management/Pricing to optimize product set to deliver on volume, mix, and margin objectives.
  • Evangelize product and business externally with customers, partners, users and the press as well as internally with executives and colleagues.

Requirements
  • Familiarity with ecommerce or online travel agency industry preferred, with deep familiarity with web and mobile platforms, trends and key distribution.
  • Experience in building brand awareness for OTA's resulting in increased traffic and incremental bookings.
  • Demonstrated experience with Meta, SEM, SEO, social and mobile marketing techniques with analytical rigor to demonstrate ROI via all channels.
  • Strong agency/vendor/supplier management experience with ability to present, negotiate and implement partnership programs, campaigns and other deliverables.
  • Great project management skills and ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to link strategy to business objectives and financial plans.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Omniture, or other analytics and campaign management applications.
  • Experience executing both global and local marketing programs.
