Discounted Nonstop Intercontinental Flights is the Way to go.
By Florin R. Ferrs (Frugal frequent flyer & international airfare expert)
The amount of discounted nonstop intercontinental flights that are becoming available on Vayama.com is staggering. You can now book discounted nonstop flight from New York or Chicago to Delhi, New York to Shanghai, Washington to Johannesburg nonstop on South African Airlines (very convenient for the World Cup) , Los Angeles to Sao Paulo on Korean Airlines , San Francisco to Dubai on Emirates , Los Angeles to Sydney on V Australia , San Francisco to Zürich on Swiss , Washington to Delhi on Air India , New York to Rio de Janeiro on TAM Airlines , the list goes on and it grows every day. Most of these nonstop long haul flights are operated by vayama’s favorite B carriers; these airlines have gained a well deserved reputation for superior service and great value (they try harder). For example, a nonstop flight from Los Angeles to Sydney on V Australia is currently in offer on Vayama.com for less than the legacy carriers (United, Qantas etc) and V Australia offers amenities that legacy carriers only dream of, like personal video screens in every coach class seat. So fly nonstop for less, it’s the new way to go.
Q: I notice a lot of deals out of New York and Los Angeles, but I live in Texas. Any nonstop airfare deals coming our way?
With so many deals been promoted from both coasts, it’s easy to see how our friends in the Midwest can sometimes feel left out, but if you learn a few tricks of the trade, you will always be able to make the lowest New York or Los Angeles deals work for you. First of all, there are quite a lot of nonstop deals originating in Dallas, Chicago and Houston every day, from where you can fly nonstop to India, Brazil, Korea, Europe, South America and the Caribbean. But what do you do when you see a great airfare originating from New York or Los Angeles? I recently saw a fare on Vayama.com for $860 total from New York to Mumbai. If you are based in Texas or in any Midwestern town close to it, the first thing to do would be to check the fares originating in Houston or Dallas, if any of these airfares cost more than $150 than the deal from New York, simply go ahead and book the New York deal for $860 and use a low-cost airline like Jet Blue, South West or Virgin America to get yourself to New York or Los Angeles. You have to be aware that you may have to carry your luggage when you connect in New York or L.A., but savvy travelers travel light and most airlines will connect your luggage to your next flight when asked upon check in. So make those cheap $49 domestic airfares work for you and use them to get to the coasts so you can enjoy the same cheap airfares that New Yorkers and Angelenos are so accustomed too.
