The port town of Gdansk, historically also called Danzig in German, is Poland’s main port city and has one of the most beautifully rebuilt old towns in Eastern Europe. Stuttgart is the hometown of Mercedes Benz and Porsche, don’t miss the space age Mercedes Benz museum and the Porsche museum for their amazing collection of over 100 years of automobile design. Stuttgart was founded in the 10th century but was heavily bombed during the war, so most buildings in the city are from the 1950’s and 60’s.
