Web Developer - JSP / PHP

Position	Web Developer (JSP / PHP)
Job Description	Airtrade International Inc. / vayama is looking to hire a full time web developer skilled in JSP and/or PHP development. This position is appropriate for a mid-level web developer with strong html, jsp, php and Javascript skills. The person will be tasked with web design and development activities for Airtrade's flagship product, www.vayama.com and other online properties. Primary tasks will involve HTML layout and coding, integration with back-end systems or databases using JSP or PHP, and Javascript coding. This position will report to our Development Manager and is based in Mountain View, CA. Please note: that we will not consider design or recruitment agencies responding to this posting. Also, this is not a remote position, and being in our offices is required. Location: Mountain View, CA.
Qualifications / Requirements	Note: Please make sure that you have the appropriate qualifications before applying. B.S. / B.A. or equivilent in electronic media, web design, or computer science. We require the candidate to have some formal web design/development training. 1-3 years experience in the development of web sites and web technology Portfolio or examples of work (school projects are acceptable but we also require additional corporate and live sites to be shown) Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and modern XHTML development techniques Mastery of either JSP and/or PHP as a web development language. Our sites use a combination of JSP and PHP, thus skills in both is preferred Good design and layout instincts Strong knowledge of javascript and its usage to power web pages Experience with Wordpress a plus Experience with Dreamweaver or other HTML editor Experience with photoshop, illustrator or other graphics tool a benefit
Job Responsibilities	Become a productive member of the Airtrade development team working on web sites such as vayama.com and budgetair.com Design, layout and construct HTML web pages Javascript design and development Integration of AJAX functionality into web pages Backend integration of web pages using JSP and PHP Integration of third party applications / libraries such as JQuery, Wordpress, etc.
