Senior Software Engineer (Server Side - Java/J2EE Web Services)
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for participating in the design and development of Airtrade International's online travel applications. This position is for a software developer with a solid grasp of software engineering principles and hands-on experience in building highly scalable server-side components supporting high-volume web sites. The position will report into the Director of Development.
| Qualifications |
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 5+ years of server-side Web development experience and hands-on with the following technologies:
- • Java, J2EE, Servlet API, JSP.
- • Web application techniques and tools including Struts/JSF, AJAX, Hibernate, Spring, and Eclipse IDE.
- • HTTP, XML, XQuery, Web Services, Web API, SOAP, REST.
- • Relational Databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- • Testing tools such as JUnit, jMeter, jMock, HTTPUnit, WSUnit.
In addition, candidates should have the following project-related experiences:
- • Building high performance Web applications and server-side components, preferably for large scale Web sites.
- • Development of server-side business logic for public facing Web services.
- • Working knowledge of J2EE servers and Web services platforms such as Apache Tomcat, Axis, JBOSS, WebSphere.
- • Working knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and Windows.

Web / Flash Graphic Artist
Airtrade International Inc. is seeking a graphic artist with strong Flash and HTML abilities. The graphic artist will be responsible for developing website design layouts, graphics, banners, logos, flash movies, and some print materials. The position will be mostly creative, but good HTML coding abilities and a knowledge of Flash is required. Airtrade's products are also designed using a significant amount of AJAX techniques, so a familiarity with site design using AJAX is required. Reports to the COO/CTO.

Release/Deployment Engineer
The Release/Deployment Engineer is in charge of releases of Airtrade International software and websites to our production environment. The Engineer will focus on managing features and bug fixes included in releases, version control, and deployment methodologies. The Release/Deployment Engineer will also "own" the version of Airtrade software and websites running in the production environment and be responsible for configuration, proper operation and troubleshooting. Reports to the Director of Development.

- • Track and document bugs and features include in major and minor software releases. Oversee Airtrade's source control environment completing versioning, branching and tagging as required.
- • Complete builds of Airtrade software for production release.
- • Refine and operate Airtrade's production deployment process. This includes creating and operating linux scripts and rsync.
- • Take responsibility for the production configuration of JBOSS, Apache and any other application running in production related to Airtrade software.
- • Troubleshoot and debug problems found in the production environment.
