Vayama Presents: New Ways to See the World

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ – When it comes to planning an international trip, people tend to first consider some of the more popular destinations based on well-known attractions or frequently traveled itineraries. While these familiar locales offer wonderful experiences both culturally and aesthetically, experts at leading online travel agency, Vayama (www.vayama.com) recommend giving those destinations off-the-beaten-path a try this year.

Some of the top international destinations booked through Vayama are also some of the most recognizable tourist hubs around the world. However, with a robust network of global partners, Vayama is able to provide travelers with an extensive set of fares and itineraries beyond the well-traveled destinations.

To help both savvy and new travelers start thinking of cities outside the box, Vayama has put together a list of alternative destination suggestions.

For those travelers who are seeking a European experience such as visiting Paris, Barcelona, London, Rome and Amsterdam, Vayama encourages travelers to consider other thriving cities or staying in smaller towns just outside the metropolitan centers, where the nightlife is eclectic and history still very rich. Alternatives include:

•   Ghent, Belgium
•   Rotterdam, Holland
•   Siena, Italy
•   Glasgow, Scotland
•   Thessalonik, Greece

If picturesque beaches or tranquil mountain scenery are what you’re after, consider these serene locales for a relaxing, crowd-free vacation:

•   Myvatn Lake, Iceland
•   Campania region, Italy
•   Tasmania, Australia
•   Candidasa, Indonesia
•   Gozo, Maltese Republic
•   Menorca, Spain

For those wanting a more cosmopolitan experience, like you might find in Hong Kong, Dubai, Beijing and Tokyo, these urban stops are worth visiting:

•   Daegu, South Korea
•   Kagoshima, Japan
•   Bratislava, Slovakia
•   Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan
•   Valparaíso, Chile
•   Durban, South Africa

“Our recommendations are not intended to dismiss the popular travel cities, but rather to encourage those travelers looking for something off-the-beaten-path a different perspective on international travel,” explains Joan Ioannou , Brand Marketing Director for Vayama.com. “As people begin their travel planning process, the options for where to go are vast. Our goal at Vayama is to be the go-to resource for both those popular, well-traveled destinations, but also for those who are seeking to travel to some of the lesser-known destinations around the globe.”

Vayama Talks Travel Resolutions

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — By the end of January, it’s widely known that many people have already given up on their New Year resolutions. It’s not too late to make new ones or keep after those goals. When it comes to travel resolutions, there’s still another 11 months to fulfill them. Vayama (www.vayama.com), a leading online travel agency uniquely focused on international travel, shares some unique ideas and tips to help people keep their travel resolutions and see more of the world in 2013.

A travel resolution could really be anything from vowing to take more trips, visiting a new destination, going somewhere without a travel buddy, or even challenging yourself to try new things upon arrival. For international travel especially, the planning and research phase can be daunting. With an overwhelming number of options for where to visit and the complexity of booking multi-city travel, the resolution drop-off rate happens here. However, Vayama.com can be the one-stop shop for both research and booking.

One Vayama customer already planned her 2013 travel to visit friends and family in Brazil and reported, “[Vayama was] easy to navigate with intuitive results on a website layout that is so easy to search for exactly what you need. I had less than 10 minutes during my lunch hour and I was able to find the perfect flight even for my hard criteria…and at a reasonable price. I’m truly satisfied.” Another recently said, “Vayama is my go-to travel site! The multi-city feature is excellent, which I cannot find on most other major sites.”

Joan Ioannou, Brand Marketing Director for Vayama.com, explains, “Vayama’s team of travel experts are continuously working with our many airline partners so we can present shoppers with the best airfare deals, itineraries and choice of destinations.”

Vayama also has another secret weapon to help people struggling to keep their travel resolutions: curated results. This breakthrough international travel search technology culls flight options from more than 500 airlines worldwide to identify the fastest, cheapest, most popular and sponsored itineraries.

“When people are able to view and compare trips with curated results, the research and planning for an international trip becomes much simpler and people find more of what they want,” said Ioannou.

For more information about Vayama.com or to start keeping those travel resolutions, visit www.vayama.com. And for a limited time, those who book their flights on Vayama.com will also receive a discount toward hotel rates when booking their stay through the site.
