Bangkok Airways promotes itself as Asia's Boutique Airline providing "Exclusive Service to Exotic Gems." The airline backs up this statement with service to two dozen destinations across East Asia including such "Exotic Gems" as Male (Maldives), Xi'an, Luang Prabang, and Siem Reap (Angkor Wat). It is the only airline that flies to the popular Thai island paradise of Ko Samui, offering direct international service from Hong Kong and Singapore with future service planned from Kuala Lumpur. It also offers domestic service to Ko Samui from Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket. With future service planned from Krabi and Trat as well. The airline's main hub is in Bangkok, where connections are offered to other popular domestic cities within Thailand such as Chiang Mai and Sukhothai, as well as to international Asian destinations such as Yangon (Rangoon) and Pnhom Penh. Bangkok Airways received a 4 star rating and was named Best Regional Airline in Southeast Asia by Skytrax in 2006.
