Iran Air Airlines
Iran Air, the national carrier of Iran, operates flights from 10 different gateways in Europe to Tehran, as well as to several more in Asia and the Middle East. Almost all of the carrier's international and domestic flights operate out of Tehran's Mehrabad International Airport (THR), although the airline also does have service out of the city's newer Iman Khomeini International Airport (IKA) to regional destinations including Dubai and Baku. As Iran is an Islamic society where the sale of alcohol is forbidden, Iran Air does not serve alcohol on board its flights and all meals served are halal. Additionally all female passengers are theoretically required to wear headscarves during the flight, although many travelers report that enforcement of this policy is usually reserved just for takeoff and landing.
