Founded in 1993, Qatar Airways is the flag carrier airline of Qatar. State-owned and operated, this far-reaching airline began life in the early 1990s, commencing operations in 1994 with a small staff of only 75 people. During these early days, the operator had only two aircraft in its fleet, however, these twin Airbus A310s provided an exotic network of routes with destinations including Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Dubai, London, Muscat and Tokyo.
