Virgin Atlantic was formed by mega-mogul Sir Richard Branson in 1984 and specializes in long haul flights from London to North America, Africa, Middle East, and Asia. US passengers are connected to Virgin's worldwide network with flights from New York (JFK), Newark, Boston, Washington Dulles, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, and Los Angeles to London Heathrow, and from Las Vegas and Orlando to London Gatwick. Virgin offers three distinct classes of service. Their Economy class cabin was one of the first to offer personal entertainment systems in every seat, a service copied by dozens of other international carriers since. Virgin also a Premium Economy cabin that offers dedicated check-in service, priority boarding, 38 inch seat pitch, and stylish purple leather seats. And last but certainly not least, Virgin's renowned Upper Class offers a seemingly endless perks including virtually private "suites".
