The Moomba Festival
This is held annually and is Australia's longest running and largest free festival. Occurring over the Labour Day weekend, it attracts up to 1.7 million visitors. The Fringe Festival
This is an annual arts festival, that is held over three weeks from late September onwards. A variety of art forms is on offer, including music, comedy, theatre, cabaret, circus performances and performance arts. The festival occurs throughout the city and the events are free of charge to attend. Audiences of half a million enjoy over 300 shows at over 100 venues.
Australian Formula One Grand Prix

The festival was launched in 1993 and is held annually in March. Operating on a not for profit basis, the Food and Wine Festival's aim is to promote the local produce, with over 250 events over 11 days attracting over 350,000 visitors.
